Weigela florida 'Polka'
Weigela florida is native to Northern China, Korea and Japan. It is a dense, rounded, deciduous shrub that features trumpet-shaped, rose-pink flowers in spring. 'Polka' is a more compact cultivar in comparison to the other Weigelas. Large, trumpet-shaped, light pastel pink flowers (to 3 cm long) with yellow throats bloom continuously over a very long late spring to early fall bloom period. Flowers are slightly fragrant. Dark green leaves are more rounded that those on species plants.
