The Berberis thunbergii 'Bagatelle' is a very compact spiny deciduous shrub of rounded habit, with oval, purple leaves becoming brighter in autumn. Flowers are pale yellow, followed by red berries. To see optimal growth, place Bagatelle in full sun and in a moist soil that is well-drained.
