Carex oshimensis 'Evergold'
Carex oshimensis 'Evergold' is a evergreen sedge that forms a dense tussock of narrow arching mid-green leaves, each with a broad creamy yellow central stripe. Brown spikelet flowers are born in summer and held amongst the leaves. 'Evergold' is a cultivar of the Japanese Sedge selected for its bright colour and ease of culture - it will grow in any soil that isn't completely baked solid in summer, although at its best given part shade and a moist soil, where the bright variegation will shine out strongly.
