Clematis montana 'Giant Star' is een prachtige klimplant met donkergroen blad en heeft vrij grote bloemen. In mei, juni en juli bloeit 'Giant Star' zeer rijk met meer dan 10 cm grote zachtroze bloemen die half gevuld zijn. 'Giant Star' groeit prachtig over een schuurtje, tegen een hek of muur, of langs een pergola. De plant hoeft niet gesnoeid te worden, tenzij de grootte van de plant ingeperkt moet worden. 'Giant Star' bloeit op eenjarig hout en staat graag op een plaats in de volle zon of half-schaduw.
