Weigela florida 'Nana Purpurea''is a small deciduous shrub with a bushy round shape. The leaves are elliptical to oval, pointed, toothed and green with a creamy white edge. The leaves in the spring and fall are laced with pink hues. The fragrant flowers of Weigela florida 'Nana Purpurea' appear in the May-June and September usually a second flowering takes place. Furthermore, a good bee-and butterfly plant. Due to the compact growth, Nana Purpurea is suitable to be used in beds or as a solitary tree in a small garden.
