Chaenomeles speciosa Hot Fire®

The Hot Fire is a low growing medium sized shrub that is part of the Chinese quince species. Its branches are arching and has small flowers that bloom from mid April until late May. They are deep crimson red and are yellow in the center. Plant this shrub in full sun and in a well drained soil. During October, it ripens aromatic green-yellow fruit that are edible.
