The main feature of Hydrangea paniculata 'Levana' are the enormous, up to 20 (50 cm) long, panicles. The pure white flowers measuring about 2" (5 cm) across, grow at the end of up to 7 ft (2 m) long, remarkably sturdy twigs. The flowers of 'Levana' consist of four or five well separated sepals that appear like stars around the flower panicles in July and August. The giant mass of fragrant white flowers attracts many insects. 'Levana' is a very healthy plant, not suffering from diseases. It likes a sunny spot and can be planted as a solitary plant but can just as well be planted in larger groups. The flowers of 'Levana' are also ideal cut flowers."
